The International Society of Atopic Dermatitis (ISAD) has announced it received a Research Networking Grant from the LEO Foundation to support an international scientific networking and consolidation workshop focused on Treat-to-Target in Atopic Dermatitis (T2T-AD).
The workshop will take place at the Rajka Symposium 2027 in Augsburg, Germany, building on preparatory work started at Rajka Melbourne 2025 and set to continue at Rajka Beijing 2026.
The initiative is led by ISAD in collaboration with the International Eczema Council (IEC) and the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA), and the grant is described as an important milestone for this international effort.
According to ISAD, atopic dermatitis has entered a new therapeutic era, yet internationally harmonized, patient-centered definitions of meaningful long-term disease control are still lacking. The goal of the T2T-AD initiative is to move beyond isolated clinical-trial thresholds and build a multidimensional framework that accounts for disease activity, stability and flares, itch and sleep, function, treatment burden, patient priorities, and global feasibility.
The Augsburg workshop will bring together international experts and younger investigators to review preparatory work, discuss areas of agreement and remaining uncertainty, refine the emerging T2T-AD framework, and set priorities for implementation, dissemination and future validation.
ISAD expressed gratitude to the LEO Foundation for supporting this scientific networking effort, saying it will help strengthen collaboration across the global atopic dermatitis community.
